History

Farmflo was founded by brothers Jason Devenney, a software developer, and Gareth Devenney, a fourth generation farmer in 2012.

The company began trading commercially in February 2015 with the launch of their eponymous app following approval from Ireland's Department of Agriculture, Food and the Marine.

Farmflo was dubbed "one of Ireland's hottest start-ups" by the Irish Independent in March 2015.

Farmflo was featured on Ireland's national broadcaster RTÉ's flashship magazine programme, Nationwide (Irish TV series) in February 2016.

Farmflo is based in Letterkenny, Donegal at the Letterkenny Institute of Technology. It also has offices in Glasgow, Scotland.

Microsoft Ventures

In October 2015 Farmflo was selected to join the Microsoft Ventures Accelerate Programme in London. As part of the programme, Farmflo received one-on-one mentoring from Microsoft‘s business, technology and marketing experts.

Farmflo received an investment of £500,000 (approximately €675,000) from Microsoft, which it will use to create 60 new jobs over the next three years.
