Faridpur Engineering College

History

At 2005, Education Engineering Department, Bangladesh government financing and the implementation of the 53-million cost of Faridpur on 7.5 acres in downtown Baitul Aman Faridpur Engineering College Construction work began and finished at 2010, but electricity and water connections to the educational complex, The next three years due to the engineering colleges could not start. It is the latest addition to Bangladesh's government engineering institutions which previously were only BUET, CUET, KUET and RUET. Faridpur Engineering College was inaugurated by Minister of Local Govt. Rural Development & Co-Operatives Engineer Khandaker Mosharraf Hossain Finally started college in the academic 2013-2014. Faridpur Engineering College of Electrical and Electronic Engineering, civil Engineering and Computer Science and Engineering, these 3 technologies in the course of teaching but also, primarily in the Electrical and Electronic Engineering and civil engineering department was started and in the first year, 60 in the two sections of the 120 people 2014-15. Periodically admitted 120 students were admitted to the sessions. 2015-16 [1] sessions are being admitted. Faridpur Engineering College is one of the new and modern engineering colleges in Bangladesh.

Faridpur Engineering College is affiliated with University of Dhaka under the Faculty of Engineering and Technology.

Campus

Every building is accommodated in a multi-storied building over an area of about 12 acres land. There have 10 buildings including one administrative building & three faculty buildings. There are three halls for students. There are cafeteria building, Bank, Post-office, Library, auditorium in this campus.

Scholarships opportunities

In every semester government would give 1950 taka per students for basis in CGPA (Top 35 in per batch or department). After completing graduation, there is a scope to study abroad with scholarship which is counted by the rank of the University of Dhaka.

Sports and entertainment

The College provides facilities for football, cricket, volleyball, table tennis etc. The students play badminton, and other games as well. Sports meets and games competitions are features of campus life. The students arrange cricket & football tournament in every year, cultural show, indoor games competition, etc.

Admission procedures and entry requirements

Undergraduate admission of Faridpur Engineering College is maintained by Dhaka University. Admission into FEC is highly competitive and needs a high academic attainment at the S.S.C. and H.S.C. level. Selection of the students for admission is made through an admission test of 200 marks and considering GPA of S.S.C. and H.S.C. or equivalent examinations (Details in admission notice). Students get a chance to take admission according to merit. Every students take a highly competitive admission test under the technology unit.
