Eat App (Arabic: أيت آب) is a Middle Eastern based online restaurant reservation service. Similar to OpenTable in the U.S and EZTABLE in Asia, eat allows users to search and discover restaurants, and make reservations online. The app is free to download for end users; the company charges restaurants for using the reservation system as well as a per diner fee for online reservations. According to the company, the system has seated over 600,000 guests to date.

Contents

Eat was founded by Nezar Kadhem, in Bahrain, in 2015 and has raised $400,000 to date. The company is currently operational in both Bahrain and Dubai, United Arab Emirates.

Users

The service allows users to discover restaurants, and search for available time slots based on party size, date and time. The application then communicates with the Reservation System installed at the restaurant, and returns a real-time result of availabilities to the user. After the reservation is complete, the user receives a confirmation email and is able to book an Uber to the restaurant.

Restaurants

The service provides restaurants with a reservation system that replaces the traditional pen and paper method. The system handles in-house reservations, online reservations, CRM, and online marketing.
