Dower & Hall is a British Jewellery brand that was established in 1990 by husband and wife team Dan Dower & Diane Hall. The brand has two standalone stores in London and Glasgow and are also stocked by independents and department stores, such as John Lewis and Fenwick, around the country.

History
Dower & Hall was founded with the aid of a Prince’s Trust business loan. The brands initial success soon led to their first store opening in 1995 in Knightsbridge and their Glasgow store, which followed in 2004. The brand has gone from strength to strength with over 100 stockists nationwide and a new store in the impressive Spitalfields Norman Foster development.
Products
Dower & Hall makes a wide variety of jewellery in their London based workshop, from sterling silver and gold vermeil to 18ct gold, platinum and luxury bespoke designs. The Nomad collection has become their signature design with their recognisable hammered finish and sculptural curved forms. The Feather collection is another signature design that has been seen on celebrities including Millie Mackintosh and Kasabian. In 2015 they launched their personalised collection under the Cherish umbrella, each of the designs can be made individual in different ways.
Bespoke and personalisation
A key element to Dower & Hall’s recent success has been the introduction of their personalised collections. The Cherish the Moment collections are modular and can be put together in any combination and also contain engravable elements. The Cherish What’s Inside designs are a modern take on the traditional charm bracelet, with ‘treasures’ that can be placed in the sapphire glass sided lockets. Daniel Dower also heads up a bespoke side of the business, in his workshop he creates customised designs, from altering existing pieces to breathing new life into antique or inherited jewellery. The majority of his bespoke designs are created from scratch, working with customers to bring their ideas to life from within his workshop.
Charity
Dower & Hall has supported and worked with a number of different charities. They have raised over £25,000 for the ‘Chain of Hope’ charity with their ‘Faith, Hope & Charity’ collections, they also supported ‘Breakthrough for Breastcancer’, raising over £20,000. They have also partnered with the British Heart Foundation, raising over £10,000 with a special edition collection, and wildlife charities, including the Tusk Trust. They regularly work with ChildLine in Scotland, where all of their 5pence carrier bag charges are donated to.
Celebrity and press
Dower & Hall has become popular with celebrities and fashion press alike and has been seen on Millie Mackintosh, Amanda Holden, Little Mix, Joss Stone and Katherine Jenkins, among others and on the pages of fashion magazines, including You & Your Wedding, Stylist and Cosmopolitan. Their most notable appearance was in the James Bond film ‘Skyfall’, where their pearl designs were worn by Dame Judi Dench in her role as M.
