Early life

Dinanath Bhaskar is an Indian politician who has twice been elected a member of the Uttar Pradesh Legislative Assembly. He was born on 10 March 1963 in Khetarpala village, Chandauli district.

Bhaskar began his political career as a member of the Bahujan Samaj Party (BSP). He won the Legislative Assembly elections from the Chandauli constituency in 1993 on a BSP ticket but left the party after Mayawati accused Mulayam Singh Yadav of trying to induce support from Bhaskar. He joined the Samajwadi Party in 1996 and successfully contested the 2002 Bhadohi elections to become a Member of the Legislative Assembly for a second time.
