Dharmapuri Junction is a railway station situated in the centre of the city of Dharmapuri, also the headquarters of the Dharmapuri district of Tamil Nadu. It has been administered by the South Western Railway Zone, included in the Bangalore railway division that was transferred over from the Southern Railway Zone.

The railway station is located on the Railway station broadway road accessible by the Duraisamy Road and the Railway junction road situated at close proximity to the Rural/urban bus terminals, collector office, city market, city bazzar, TNSTC bus depot and the taluk office. It is a part of the Omalur Junction-Bangalore City railway line and it is a main stoppage for the trains passing through the line. A new line between Dharmapuri to Morappur which measures about 36 kilometres (22 mi) has been proposed by Indian Railway Budget 2016-2017.
