Deserticossus volgensis

Deserticossus volgensis is a species of moth of the Cossidae family. It is found in Russia (southern Volga region), the northern Caucasus (Stavropol, Dagestan), north-western Kazakhstan and Turkey. The habitat consists of dry steppes.

The wingspan is about 21 mm. The forewings are light brown, suffused with dark scales. The hindwings are dark brown. Adults are on wing in July.
