David B. Coe (born March 12, 1963 in New York City) is an author of fantasy novels and short stories.

Writing

He was the winner of the William L. Crawford Award for best first fantasy series, awarded at the International Conference on the Fantastic for Children of Amarid and The Outlanders, the first two novels of the LonTobyn Chronicles. His series, Winds of the Forelands, began with Rules of Ascension and continued with Seeds of Betrayal, Bonds of Vengeance, and Shapers of Darkness. It concluded with Weavers of War.

Coe is one of the founding members of the blog, MagicalWords.net. Magical Words is dedicated to helping newer writers with all aspects of the craft and business of writing, and a book based on the blog, How To Write Magical Words: A Writer's Companion was published by Bella Rosa Books in 2011.

Coe has had short stories published on SciFi.com [1] and is currently developing two new fantasy series: Blood of the Southlands and the Case Files of Justis Fearsson. He lives with his wife, Nancy Berner, and their two daughters, Alex (19) and Erin (16) on the Cumberland Plateau in Tennessee.

Pseudonym

As of early 2012, Coe is also writing Historical Fantasy under the pseudonym D.B. Jackson [2]. The first book under this name, Thieftaker, was released in 2012, and the second book, Thieves' Quarry, released in 2013.
