Dadi is a community development block that forms an administrative division in the Hazaribagh Sadar subdivision of Hazaribagh district in the Indian state of Jharkhand.

Geography

Dari, a census town in Dadi CD Block, is located at 23°42′48″N 85°22′52″E.

Demographics

As per 2011 Census of India Dadi CD Block had a total population of 77,770, of which 49,770 were rural and 28,000 were urban. There were 40,012 males and 37,758 females. Scheduled Castes numbered 10,134 and Scheduled Tribes numbered 20,959.

Dari, Religara alias Pachhiari and Gidi are census towns in Dadi CD Block.

Literacy

As per 2011 census the total number of literates in Dadi CD Block was 46,973 out of which 27,515 were males and 19,458 were females.

Economy

Dadi CD Block is in the heart of the coal belt of North Karanpura Coalfield. There is a coal washery at Gidi.
