Cummings Island is an uninhabited island in the Rideau River in the city of Ottawa in Canada and the site of a former settlement.

Robert Cummings, son of the first settlers on the island, bought the island from the government in the middle of the 19th century and built a store, flour mill and carriage factory there. In 1922, the city of Ottawa bought the island from Cummings' sons. Since 1923, the island has been uninhabited.
