The Clark County Board of County Commissioners is the governmental organization that runs the unincorporated areas of Clark County, Nevada. The commission is considered by many to be the most powerful governmental body in the state of Nevada.

Districts and terms

Each Commissioner is elected to a four year term and represents one of seven districts, designated A-G.

  • The 2002 Commission scandal

    The 2002 Commission scandal was infamous in that 4 of the 7 members (Dario Herrera(D), Erin Kenny(D), Mary Kincaid-Chauncey(D) and Lance Malone(R)) were convicted and sentenced to federal prison terms for crimes committed while serving on the commission.
