Cillian Lordan is a professional footballer, generally a central midfielder or defender who played for and captained Cork City. He is the older brother of fellow Cork City player Cathal Lordan.

Youths and Schoolboy success
Lordan began his career at Ballincollig, enjoying success as they won the schoolboy under-14, under-15 and under-16 League. He has also represented his third level college, C.I.T., and country on tours of Cyprus and Korea for the World Student Games. At this tournament he was awarded the honour of being Player of The Tournament.
Cork City F.C.
He joined Cork City's very successful under age system and flourished. Captaining the under 21 team, Lordan brought home two League of Ireland U21 Division winners medals, two Munster Senior Cup medals and established himself as one of City's brightest prospects. His first team opportunity came in unfortunate circumstances as first choice right-back Neal Horgan fractured a leg in 2004, with Cillian making his debut against Drogheda United ahead of the out-of-favour Greg O'Halloran. He played very well and retained his place during the successful UEFA InterToto Cup campaign, distinguishing himself against Malmö, Nijmegen and Nantes. Cillian continues to remain part of the first team squad, featuring intermittently at centre-back, right-back, left-back, and the right-wing. He has played a prominent part in the team in 2007 following the transfers of George O'Callaghan and the FIFA-enforced absence of Colin Healy and Gareth Farrelly. Lordan became a free agent after the winding up of the former holding company in February 2010. In March 2010, Cillian signed a new contract with Cork City and was named as club captain. In November 2010 it was announced that Cillian signed a new contract with the club. Cillian left the club in January 2011 to take a job in the Netherlands. and now working in newcastle after a brief spell of working in london

In 2006, Cillian was joined at Cork City by his brother Cathal Lordan. Cathal transferred from English club Ipswich Town and starred in midfield for City's under 21 team in much the same way Cillian did, and was tipped to follow his brother into the first team squad in the near future. Cathal subsequently played for Waterford United and Blarney United before linking up with his brother in 2010 when he returned to Cork City. The pair join an exclusive list of brothers to have appeared side-by-side in games for Irish football clubs.
