Chris Kalani Cushman Lee (born January 28, 1981) is an American politician and a Democratic member of the Hawaii House of Representatives since January 2009 representing District 51.

Education

Graduated 1999 as a Son of Iolani. His graduating class represented the first class to have both male and female students and, thus, was also the first graduating class to have Daughters of Iolani. Chris Lee earned his BA in political science from Oregon State University.

Elections

  • 2012 Lee was unopposed for the August 11, 2012 Democratic Primary, winning with 5,120 votes, and won the November 6, 2012 General election with 8,550 votes (77.8%) against Republican nominee Henry Vincent.
  • 2008 When Democratic Representative Tommy Waters retired and left the District 51 seat open, Lee won the three-way September 20, 2008 Democratic Primary with 2,292 votes (54.0%), and won the November 4, 2008 General election with 5,885 votes (61.9%) against Republican nominee Quentin Kawananakoa.
