Chinnada gombe family drama
Chinnada Gombe (Kannada: ಚಿನ್ನದ ಗೊಂಬೆ) is a 1964 Indian Kannada film, directed and produced by B. R. Panthulu. The film stars B. R. Panthulu, Kalyan Kumar, M. V. Rajamma, Jayalalithaa, Sandhya and Kalpana in lead roles. The film had musical score by T. G. Lingappa. The film was remade in Tamil as Muradan Muthu, in Hindi as Gopi and in Telugu as Palletoori Chinnodu. This is Jayalalitha's first movie as a leading lady, having previously acted as a child artiste.

Panthulu met Jayalalithaa at an event celebrating his film Karnan's success, and Jayalalithaa's mother allowed her to be cast in Chinnada Gombe due to financial constraints.
