Early life

Charles Ressler was born in New York City on 16th December 1984. Ressler attended the Professional Children’s School. He pursued a professional acting career until he was nineteen.

Career

In October 2014, Ressler quit his job helping build Tony Hsieh’s vision internationally known as “The Downtown Project” to take a sabbatical to Asia. When he returned he mounted a one man show at The Smith Center for the Performing Arts. The show was written By Ressler and directed by Larry Pellegrini.

Las Vegas and First Friday

After moving to Las Vegas, Ressler became associated with First Friday and Downtown Project. First Friday is a community event held on the first Friday of every month where art from Southern Nevada artists are showcased. He was instrumental in increasing the scope of the event. After he joined the board of First Friday as it's head of communications, sponsorship, and special projects, the number of monthly attendees grew from 1,500 to over 30,000 in under three years. Ressler was honored by Congresswoman Dina Titus and Mayor Carolyn Goodman for "the economic impact his work had on the city of Las Vegas." He was also responsible for launching the Life Is Beautiful Festival's fine art program "art motel" and handling crisis communication for the festival.

DreamMaker

In 2013, Ressler started a Twitter experiment using the hashtag DreamMaker. The idea was that people would tweet him their aspirations and he would help connect them to people of resources to make them come to fruition. Ressler set out to turn some of those dreams into reality. So far he claims to have been able to help nearly 200 people achieve their dreams.
