The Charles Reizenstein Company was an international acclaimed glassware designer and manufacturer. The first store was established on Federal Street in Allegheny (now Pittsburgh) in 1865. America's oldest family-owned china and glassware concern.

Early years
Father and son (Charles and Louis) came to old Allegheny, where a store was established in Federal Street. The store was located just north of the "old hay market" in about 1865. It would become the exclusive glass shop of C. Reizenstein and Sons. Louis made 48 Trans Atlantic trips, visiting most European cities starting in 1882. By 1885 the Reizenstein family lived on Fremont Street in Allegheny City.

Schenley Middle School named after Reizenstein.
