Chakrala (Urdu: چكڑالا‎), is the oldest and the largest village seat of Punjabi Hindu Community Chikar(surname Chakravarty), of Mianwali District in the Punjab province of Pakistan. Chakrala is also a Union Council, (administrative subdivision) of Mianwali Tehsil and is located 10 miles (16 km) away from the Mianwali Talagang road.

The area is mostly inhabited by Awan tribe, although some other tribes are also living here. This village is the birthplace of late Lance-Naik Syed Sher Shah (VC), a soldier of the British Indian Army who distinguished himself in World War II, in the Burma campaign.
