Castelo Branco District ([kɐʃˈtɛlu ˈβɾɐ̃ku], Portuguese: Distrito de Castelo Branco) is located in Central Portugal, the district capital is Castelo Branco, which is now also the most populous city, although the city of Covilhã was once the largest city.
