Carmen Eggens (born 13 February 1988 in Maple Ridge, British Columbia) is a female water polo player of Canada.

Personal

Her parents are lamer and Catherine and she has a younger sister Monika Eggens who is also on the water polo national team and competed at Guadalajara 2011. Carmen Eggens lives in Pitt Meadows, British Colmubia. She raduated from the University of Hawaii at Manoa in 2013.

Career

Eggens started playing water polo when she was 8 years old. She had a successful junior career for Canada, winning silver medals at the 2004 and 2006 Junior Pan American Championships and competing at the 2005 and 2007 FINA World Junior Championships. She made her senior debut in 2009, helping Canada win a first ever silver medal in the FINA Water Polo World League Super Final and adding a silver medal at the FINA World Championships. While attending the University of Hawaii she competed at the 2011 Summer Universiade. She was also selected to the All-Mountain Pacific Sports Federation second team as a junior and senior after being named to the All-Rookie team as a freshman. She was part of the Canadian team at the 2015 World Aquatics Championships.
