History

Founded in 2009 as TweetMyJobs, CareerArc Social Recruiting helps job seekers find opportunities and receive targeted job recommendations by email, mobile or through Twitter and Facebook. Its Social Network Interface (SNI) distributes company’s jobs across Facebook, LinkedIn and over 10,800 job channels on Twitter each one segmented by industry and location. Twitter job channels allow followers to be notified of new job openings in their desired industry or location through their Twitter stream.

On November 7, 2011, TweetMyJobs launched veterans.tweetmyjobs.com as part of the Joining Forces initiative announced by President Barack Obama. Aneesh Chopra, the former CTO of the United States, wrote a blog post stating that "leaders in social media have joined the movement... Twitter, through TweetMyJobs, will reach millions of veterans through their networks."

TweetMyJobs’ government platform was announced on January 19, 2012 when the city of Atlanta, GA launched atlanta.tweetmyjobs.com to help Atlanta residents find work. The platform provides a place for Atlanta employers to find and connect with citizens at no cost, while offering job assessment tools to discover personal strengths and interests before beginning their job search. Subsequently, the government platform was launched in Newark, NJ, Houston, TX, Nassau County, NY, Ramapo, NY, Columbia, SC and the territory of Puerto Rico.

On March 27, 2013 TweetMyJobs’ mobile app was recognized as the 2013 About.com Job Search Readers’ Choice Awards: Best Mobile App.

On July 23, 2015 the company announced its rebranding as CareerArc Social Recruiting.
