Burnside Hall (French: Pavillon Burnside) is a thirteen-floor building on downtown campus of McGill University in Montreal. It is named after the Montreal estate of James McGill, the university's founder.

Design

The second tallest building on the McGill Campus, Burnside Hall was completed in 1970. It was designed in the Brutalist style, by Marshall, Merrett and Associates.

Faculties

Burnside is home to the Department of Atmospheric & Oceanic Sciences, the Department of Geography, the Department of Mathematics and Statistics, the Network and Communications Services, the Walter Hitschfeld Geographic Information Centre the Edward Rosenthall Mathematics and Statistics Library, and Security Services.
