Picador USA published two books by Butler in June 2014 and 2015: A Cuban Boxer's Journey, a biography on Guillermo Rigondeaux, and The Domino Diaries, a memoir of time in Cuba living and training with Olympic boxing coaches. The Domino Diaries was on The Boston Globe's list of Best Books of 2015 and has been nominated and longlisted for the PEN/ESPN Award for Literary Sports Writing in 2016. The winner will be announced on March 1, 2016.
