Brian Edwards is an author, television producer, and publicist. In 2012 he received the Honorary Satellite Award for Outstanding Achievement in the Field of Entertainment Client Relations. Edwards is also the author of the book Enter Miss Thang.

Early life
Edwards graduated from Covington High School in 1984. While in Covington, he was an actor for the town’s Playmakers Theater. He then moved to Los Angeles in 1985 and took a job as executive assistant to recording artist Donna Summer. He later represented Summer, as her publicist, until her death in 2012.
Talent relations
Edwards then became the assistant for Betty Fanning, who was a vice-president for William Morris Agency at the time. In 1998, Edwards was hired as the celebrity talent manager for the American Movie Classics and WE tv television networks, working on shows including Reel Models: The First Women of Film and Beyond Tara: The Extraordinary Life of Hattie McDaniel. Following this position he founded the company Enter Talking Client Relations. He has worked with Vanessa Williams, Farrah Fawcett, and Susan Sarandon.
Television production
Edwards was a writer and producer for several installments of the Country Music Television series CMT: The Greatest. He was also a talent producer on the television series Full Frontal Fashion, Between Us with Naomi Judd, Cool Women in History, Fashion Flashback, Style World, AMC Live: The Hollywood Auction, and Cooking with Mom. He will be a judge for the 2016 Miss America Pageant.
Books
In 2013 Edwards published his autobiography, Enter Miss Thang (named for Edwards’ Hollywood nickname “Miss Thang”), with a foreword by Joan Rivers and introduction by Cindy Crawford. In 2014 the book won best LGBT Non-Fiction awards from the International Book Awards, the Beverly Hills Book Awards, and the National Indie Excellence Awards. The National Indie Excellence Awards also named the book the best autobiography of 2014. The book will be made into a documentary for cable television.
Recognition
In 2012, Edwards become the third ever recipient of the Satellite Award for Outstanding Achievement in the Field of Entertainment Client Relations. In 2014 Edwards received a key to the city of Covington, LA from Mayor Mike Cooper.
