Boxer is a 2015 Indian Kannada action film written and directed by Preetham Gubbi and produced by Jayanna - Bhogendra. It stars Dhananjay and Kruthika Jayakumar in the lead roles. The music is composed by V. Harikrishna. The film released on 20 November 2015. The movie is based on the 2011 Korean movie Always/Only You which also went on to be remade in Hindi in 2016 as Do Lafzon Ki Kahani.

Director Preetham Gubbi, after the success of Dil Rangeela teamed up with producer Jayanna-Bhogendra duo and approached the one film old actor Dhananjay to take up the lead role for his new script. The actor had to undergo rigorous kickboxing training under a set of professionals. After seeing the Telugu film Drushyam, the director approached Kruthika Jayakumar who played the daughter role to Venkatesh in the film. He was surprised to know that she was a Bangalorean and understands the Kannada language well. His regular associate V. Harikrishna was roped in to compose the music along with Preetha for cinematography
