Biskohar is a town and a nagar panchayats, Tahsil Itwa in Sidhdharthnagar district, Basti division within Indian state of Uttar Pradesh and adjacent to Nepal. The town has history of 365 temples and wells. Biskohar is situated 200 km from the State's Capital City Lucknow.Currently Shri Mata Prasad Pandey is the Member of the Legislative Assembly. He is currently Speaker of Uttar Pradesh Legislative Assembly.

Well-known Hindi scholar and writer Dr. Vishwanath Tripathi was born in February 1931 in Biskohar village in UP, Dr Vishwanath Tripathi obtained his graduate and post-graduate degrees from the Chhatrapati Shahu Ji Maharaj University, Kanpur. Also he has written one book based on Biskohar about his childhood memory in Hindi "Nangatalai Ka Gaon" (Nanga Talai's Village)
