Bisankhunarayan is a village development committee in Lalitpur District in the Bagmati Zone of central Nepal. At the time of the 1991 Nepal census it had a population of 3867 in 707 individual households. Bishankhunarayan is historic place because of popular Hindu god Vishnu temple called Bishankhu narayan. Narayan is another name for Lord Vishnu. In the temple there's a small cave too. In Kathmandu Valley four temples of the Hindu God Vishnu are present:
1.Bishankhu Narayan
2.Shesh Narayan
3.Budhanilakantha Narayan
4.Changu Narayan.

Every year tens of thousand pilgrims visit these four temple.

Villages near Bishnankhunarayan include Godawari, Lamatar, Godamchour. Bishankhunarayn vdc has rich water resources as well as big and thick forest.
