Billie Melman is a historian. She is professor of History at Tel Aviv University where she holds the Henri Glasberg Chair in European Studies. She specializes in 19th and 20th century British history, colonial history, the history of cities and gender. She is a fellow of the Royal Historical Society. As a published author, she is widely held in libraries worldwide.
