Personal life
Chattopadhyay passed Madhyamik examination from South Point School and passed Higher Secondary examination from Andrews High School. After that he studied B.Sc in Zoology ind Asutosh College, as a graduating student of the University of Calcutta. He became popular after the acting in the movie The Legend of Bhagat Singh. He has acted in 50 bengali daily soaps and holds the record of 11 daily soaps which completed more than 1000 episodes. Chattopadhyay married Nabamita Chatterjee, grand daughter of Uttam Kumar in 2014.in his career spanning 19yrs he launched many new faces like Paoli dam,Payel dey,sohini sarkar,sohini Sanyal,Priyanka sarkar no most of all became successful heroines later.His heroines ranged from a very senior chaiti ghosal to Indrani Haldar to Anushree,Sreelekha,puspita,Nandini chatterjee to newcomers like ipsita Mukherjee and chandni Saha.
