Vajdič represented Slovenia at the 2006 and 2010 Winter Olympics. He specializes in the slalom discipline of his sport, however he also competes at a very high level in giant slalom. When not skiing in the World-Cup, Bernard enjoys spending time with fellow Slovenian teammates, including Uros Pavlovcic, Petra, and their son Glen.

Bernard is still a very active and successful professional athlete, with his current Slalom points at 10.49, in 72nd place worldwide. His Giant Slalom points are at 45.87, in 988th place worldwide. He travels to Mt. Hood each summer to help improve many young American skiers, most notably Marc Massie, Raymond Kennedy, and John Silverman.

Although Bernard had a rough season this past year, he is approaching the apex of his career. He hopes to medal/compete in his third career Olympic Games in Russia in 2014.

Bernard Vajdič currently resides in Ljubljana, Slovenia.
