Balrath Cross is a wayside cross and National Monument located in County Meath, Ireland.

Balrath Cross is located 3 kilometres (1.9 mi) southwest of Laytown.

Description

Balrath Cross is presently situated just around the corner from the crossroads in Ballymagarvey Cemetery. On the west face there is a crucifixion carved on the upper portion with small knot carvings beneath. The east face has a pieta carved above an inscription asking for "A prayer for the soul of John Broin." Below this is another inscription saying the Cross was beautified in 1727 by Sir John Aylmer and his wife Catherine. At the ends of both arms there carvings of two masks.
