Baghal was one of the Princely states of India during the period of the British Raj. It covers an area of 312 square kilometres (120 sq mi) and is now part of Himachal Pradesh state. Baghal was founded by Rana Sabha Chand in 1643 and was acceded to India on 15 April 1948.
