Early life and education

Avantika Vandanapu was born in Union City, California, USA to parents Srikanth Vandanapu and Anupama Reddy Chintala who are of Indian ancestry. Avantika is currently in seventh grade.
Career

Avantika started her artistic career through dancing when she was five years old. She initially started taking classes in semi-classical dance. Later, she started learning the South Indian classical dance form, Kuchipudi, at the age of 7. Avantika participated in several dance shows and competitions and was first awarded by ATA Star Dancer in 2012. In 2014, Avantika also won second place in the first North American edition of ZeeTV's reality show, Dance India Dance Lil Masters.

Avantika entered the Telugu film industry in 2015 and signed on for two movies. She was selected to play the role of Chutki in 14 Reels Entertainment's Krishna Gaadi Veera Prema Gaadha (released in February 2016). However, due to the scheduling conflicts, she decided not to continue with the movie. Avantika officially debuted as a child artist in Brahmotsavam starring Mahesh Babu, Kajal Agarwal, Samantha and Pranitha which started shooting on 16 September 2015. She then appeared in Chandra Shekhar Yeleti's film Manamantha. Avantika also played a small role in a song in Gopichand's movie 'Oxygen'. Later, she signed on for Premam starring Naga Chaitanya and Shruti Hassan, in which she portrays the younger version of the third heroine (Madonna Sebastian). She also signed on for a movie with Abhishek Pictures.

In March 2016, Avantika acted in the short film "Swecha" directed by Raj Sivasadhani.
