Atul Mongia has been associated with cinema for over 15 years with his first work as an actor in Hazaaron Khwahishen aisi. He's one of the most acclaimed casting directors of contemporary Hindi cinema, with films like Queen, Lootera, Titli, LSD, Shanghai and Shor in the City; to his credit.

Atul has been training actors since 2000. At the age of 21, he taught acting at the accomplished Imago acting school in Delhi, founded by theatre veteran Barry John. Since then he has come a long way in conducting many independent workshops for many acting aspirants all over the country, having trained over a thousand students.


Atul was the pioneer in starting acting workshops in Hindi films for the film LSD in 2009, and since then has done workshops for over 25 films, having established workshops more as a norm than an exception in Hindi cinema. In his film workshops, he has trained actors like Ranveer Singh, Anushka Sharma, Katrina Kaif, Sidharth Malhotra, Aditya Roy Kapoor, Varun Dhawan, Emraan Hashmi, Arjun Rampal, Bobby Deol, Rajkummar Rao, Konkona Sen Sharma, Kalki Koechlin, Aditi Rao Hydari, Ranvir Shorey; amongst others.


Atul is also a writer and director. He's made four independent short films. The last one being produced by director Vikramaditya Motwane. He's been an associate director on Ragini MMS, Titli (Cannes, 2014) and Lootera. He is directing his debut feature in 2016.
