Background
Attunity, Ltd was founded as ISG International Software Group under the law of Israel in 1988 and it operates the business in U.S. through the wholly owned subsidiary, Attunity Inc, based in Massachusetts. Its products enable access, management, sharing and distribution of data, including Big Data, across heterogeneous enterprise platforms, organizations, and the cloud. The company is based in Kfar Saba, Israel and maintains strategic partnerships with Microsoft, IBM, Oracle, HP, Amazon Web Services (AWS), Teradata, Hortonworks, Cloudera, and others.
In 1992, Attunity had an initial public offering on NASDAQ, raising $12 million and initially trading under the ticker symbol SISG. The company changed its name to Attunity on July 31, 2000 and its stock now trades on NASDAQ under the symbol ATTU.
Acquisitions
In September 2011, Attunity acquired RepliWeb for $7.8m, a company that develops Web content deployment, file synchronization, managed file transfer, and SharePoint application lifecycle solutions.
In December 2013, the company completed the acquisition of Hayes Technology Group, Inc., which added Gold Client data replication software for SAP environments to the product portfolio.
In December 2014, Attunity completed the technology acquisition of BIReady, which added data warehouse automation technology now called Compose to the solution portfolio.
In March 2015, the company announced the acquisition of Appfluent, a leading provider of strategic solutions called Visibility that help improve the economics and performance of Big Data analytics and Hadoop.
