Astro wah lai toi full channel id
Astro Wah Lai Toi is a Cantonese-generic subscription television channel from Malaysia, which is provided by Astro. It is described to be similar in style to Hong Kong television, particularly that of TVB, and offers mainly TVB programming, alongside some local content. Selected programmes, particularly primetime drama slots, are available in dual audio, in which viewers can select either to watch the programme in Cantonese or Mandarin (or original language of the programme). These dramas are also available with Bahasa Malaysia & Chinese subtitles by pressing the subtitle button.

Astro had been mistaken for holding an exclusive right as the sole pay-TV service in Malaysia to broadcast TVB programmes; rather, it holds such right to broadcast TVB programmes on the entire of one channel which it runs.
This channel which has 80% will be mirroring with Astro Zhi Zun HD, which changed its name to Astro Wah Lai Toi HD on 6 October 2014. As of 2 September 2015, the HD version will simulcast the SD version like several Astro-branded channels that have both SD and HD versions, such as Astro Ria, Astro SuperSport, Astro SuperSport 2, Astro SuperSport 3, Astro AEC and Astro Shuang Xing.
Astro Wah Lai Toi is available for NJOI Prepaid from 3 June 2015 onwards.

Channel details
Since the Malaysian government does not allow any television station to be operated by foreigners; Hong Kong's TVB collaborated with Astro to launch Astro Wah Lai Toi. It benefits over 100 million HK dollars every year from Astro by providing 85% programs on prime time. Moreover, TVB is the advertising agency of Astro Wah Lai Toi and offers counselling service for it.
To satisfy a greater audience, TVB dramas that Astro Wah Lai Toi plays are in dual languages (Cantonese and Mandarin). In addition, all the HK dramas played in this channel have Mandarin and Malay subtitles. Furthermore, every year Astro Wah Lai Toi holds many major events, such as Astro Star Quest, Miss Astro Chinese International Pageant, Astro Wah Lai Toi Drama Awards, etc.
Astro also launched Astro On Demand and HKTV drama on Astro Shuang Xing on 16 July 2007 and 18 November 2014, respectively.

Live programs
Astro Wah Lai Toi also plays live HK major live events, but all charity programs held by TVB are broadcast live by another channel of Astro, Astro On Demand. In addition to the live programs made by Astro Wah Lai Toi, all the live images of Astro Wah Lai Toi and Astro On Demand sent by the satellite are transmitted from Singapore TVBJ and Hong Kong Jade.
Broadcast programs
Beside the early HK dramas, Astro Wah Lai Toi also broadcast dramas that were played first overseas before. Now all the dramas (except situation comedies) that are on the air on prime time of this channel have finished playing on Astro On Demand.
Astro Wah Lai Toi also broadcast different TVB variety shows, including Super Trio Supreme that is on the air in this channel.
Astro Wah Lai Toi started to air the programs that were used by TVB to fight against Asia Television Limited. The first show was Healing Souls which was outsourced by Asia Television Limited.
Astro Wah Lai Toi Drama Awards
Since 2004, Astro Wah Lai Toi have held Astro Wah Lai Toi Drama Awards every year. All the awards receivers are 100% voted by audiences. Astro Wah Lai Toi selected the TVB dramas that were played that year and published the nominated list at an appropriate time. Usually the dramas Astro Wah Lai Toi played were the ones HK Jade played in the previous year. For instance, the dramas Astro Wah Lai Toi played in 2007 was the ones that have been played in 2006.
The award was succeeded by My AOD Favourites Awards and TVB Star Awards Malaysia in 2010 and 2013, respectively.
