The Asian Hockey Champions Trophy is an event held annually by the Asian Hockey Federation (since 2011). It features the Asian Games top six field hockey teams competing in a round robin format. Pakistan and India are the most successful teams in Asian Hockey Champions Trophy; Pakistan and India have won the trophy twice.

India is the defending champion of the Men's Trophy. They won their second title in 2016 by beating Pakistan 3-2 in the final. India is the defending champion of the Women's Trophy.
