The Ashgabat Trauma Center (Turkmen: Şikesleri bejeriş halkara merkezi) is a large orthopedic center in Ashgabat, the capital of Turkmenistan.

History

The center opened on July 21, 2011, with the participation of the country's leadership, and was timed to the Day of Health and Medical Industry and the 16th anniversary of the state program "Saglyk" ("Health"). The 10-story white marble building is located in the south-western part of Ashgabat. It was declared an international center in May 2011 by decree of the President of Turkmenistan.

The International Centre for Trauma is the training base for the Faculty of Military Surgery and Traumatology of the Turkmen State Medical University and the city of Ashgabat Indira Gandhi Medical College. Its activities include professional development courses, research, and development of new enabling technologies and treatments.

Structure

The hospital has a capacity of 180 beds. The center has several offices that are equipped with the most modern medical equipment. The center operates a specialized enterprise for the production of artificial limbs and orthopedic equipment.

The center conducts comprehensive treatment of orthopedic injuries and diseases, as well as the rehabilitation of patients who have become disabled as a result of injuries. Therapeutic and diagnostic facilities enable solution of the most complex problems of the restoration of bones, ligaments, muscles and joints. The center includes a computer and magnetic resonance imaging, arthroscopy, ultrasound, electrocardiography, echocardiography, fibrogastroduodenoscopy, laboratory . Experts give the necessary advice in the areas of neurology, ophthalmology, endocrinology, gynecology, ENT, dentistry, and urology. The center is equipped with facilities «Siemens», «LEICA», «KARL STORZ», «Dräger», «Otto Bock».

It also has a pharmacy for patients, a dining room, and parking.
