Anupama was born on 18 February 1996 in Irinjalakuda, a municipal town in Thrissur district, Kerala. She has done her schooling in Don Bosco Central School and National HSS, Irinjalakuda. Early life and education

Anupama was born to Parameshwaran and Sunitha. She has a younger brother Akshay. Anupama joined Inner Space Little Theater when she was in seventh grade. She completed her secondary education from Don Bosco Higher Secondary School, Irinjalakuda and higher secondary education from National Higher Secondary School. As a child, Anupama was active in music, dance, and drama in school programs. Her parents were very supportive of her and Anupama was also a part of a drama club in her hometown. After that, she went to CMS College Kottayam for further studies. Later she dropped out of college to pursue acting.
Career

Anupama debuted with Premam in Malayalam cinema which was a commercial success. She was then seen as cameo appearance in James & Alice, a Malayalam movie which had Prithviraj and Vedhicka in lead. Later forayed into Telugu industry with a handful of projects. She was then seen in a Telugu film A Aa, playing a lead role along with Nithiin and Samantha Ruth Prabhu. She then was in the Telugu remake of Premam. Her next film was Kodi, her debut in Tamil cinema, in which she has the lead role opposite Dhanush. She also acted alongside Sharwanand in ShatamanamBhavathi which was released on 14 January 2017.
