Anthony Beauvillier (born June 8, 1997) is a Canadian professional ice hockey player for the New York Islanders of the National Hockey League (NHL). Beauvillier was drafted by the Islanders with the 28th overall pick in the 2015 NHL Entry Draft.

Playing career

Beauvillier was drafted by the Shawinigan Cataractes in the 1st round (2nd overall) of the 2013 QMJHL Entry Draft, and he played 64 games with the Cataractes during the 2013–14 QMJHL season. The following season his outstanding play was rewarded when he was selected to play in the 2015 CHL/NHL Top Prospects Game, where he led Team Cherry as captain. He was also named to the 2014–15 QMJHL Second All-Star Team.

On October 23, 2015, Beauvillier was signed to a three-year entry-level contract with the New York Islanders. On October 13, 2016, Beauvillier made his debut for the Islanders in the season-opening game where got his first assist in the NHL. On October 18, 2016, Beauvillier scored his first NHL goal.

International play

Beauvillier competed with the Canada Quebec team at the 2014 World U-17 Hockey Challenge. He helped Canada men's national under-18 ice hockey team win gold at the 2014 Ivan Hlinka Memorial Tournament, and bronze at the 2015 IIHF World U18 Championships.

On December 1, 2015, Beauvillier was invited to the Team Canada selection camp for the 2016 World Junior Hockey Championships.
