Andrew Farkas is a writer who was born in Akron, Ohio. He currently lives in Chicago, Illinois, USA where he helps run a letters racket on the Near West Side and is the Fiction Editor of Packing Town Review. He holds an M.F.A. from the University of Alabama and earned a master's degree in English as part of the Creative Writing Program at the University of Tennessee. Farkas is getting a doctorate at the University of Illinois at Chicago. He is currently working on a novel called Are You Now Or Have You Ever Been? set in the 21st century and the main character is being tracked by the Gestapo.

Past Work
Andrew Farkas is the author of a collection of short fictions, Self-Titled Debut, for which he won the 2008 Subito Press Prize for Experimental Fiction. The stories featured in Self-Titled Debut are all from the same time period. He has also written a number of fictions in magazines such as New Orleans Review, Northwest Review, The Cincinnati Review, and The Brooklyn Rail. Farkas is the Former Fiction Editor of Black Warrior Review.
