Andreas Kalckhoff (born 18 August 1944 in Saaz, Bohemia) is a German historian and writer.

Biography

Kalckhoff grew up in Munich, Bavaria, where he studied Bavarian History, medieval history and politics. 1976 he was conferred a Ph.D. by Karl Bosl for a thesis on late medieval nationalism in Scotland

1977-1978 he was subeditor of a historical journal, 1978-1980 assistant professor at the University of Stuttgart in the Institut of Social research, department “Historical Behaviour Studies (Historische Verhaltensforschung)”, and scholar of August Nitschke.

Since 1980 he lives in Stuttgart working as a free journalist and writer.
