Anand Tiwari (born 29 May 1983) is a noted Indian film and stage actor, known for his roles in films like Udaan (2010), Kites (2010), Aisha (2010), and Go Goa Gone (2013). As a stage actor, he is best known for his role of a "lamp post", in Rage Productions's One on One (2010).

Early life and background

Tiwari grew up in a family of doctors, in Matunga neighbourhood of Mumbai. He started acting in small roles in Marathi theatre in the local Ganpati and Navratri festivals. He frequented Shivaji Mandir in Dadar to watch plays, and also started attending summer acting workshops at his school. Subsequently, he completed his bachelor's in mass media, with a major in advertising, from the University of Mumbai in 2004.
Directing career

Tiwari has worked as assistant director for Anurag Basu's film Barfi! (2012) and worked with Ramesh Sippy Entertainment, Sai Paranjpye Films. He has also worked as assistant co-ordinator and director with Cogito TV and Cyclops Films and Video.
Acting career
Tiwari has acted in television commercials for brands like GNIIT, Citibank Privilege Card, Jet Airways, Policybazaar.com, Tanishq, Tata ACE Zip, DISH TV, Bagpiper and Tata Tea popular Jaagore campaign in 2010.
Tiwari has been a stage actor in Mumbai, for many years now, working in plays like Dreams of Taleem directed by Sunil Shanbag, AkVarious production of All About My Mother, and Rage Theatre's One On One (2010).
Over the years, Tiwari has acted in Bollywood films like Udaan (2010), Kites (2010), Aisha (2010), and Go Goa Gone (2013).
He acted in Slumdog Millionaire (2008), and also created the buzz when he had bagged a character role in the Hollywood film Fair Game (2010), which starred Naomi Watts and was an official entry at the Cannes Film Festival.
