History
Amplitude studios is an acclaimed PC game developer known for working with its players to design strategy games, through Steam Early Access and what is called the Games2Gether: a platform where the developer encourages players to post design suggestions and vote on features that will be implemented into their games.
In July 2016, Sega Europe announced that they had acquired the company with plans to use the developers to help expand into the personal computer gaming market. Founders Mathieu Girard and Romain de Waubert de Genlis stated that they saw the opportunity to work alongside studios Creative Assembly and Relic Entertainment, both subsidiaries of Sega.
