Early life
Ammiel Bushakevitz moved at a young age with his family from Jerusalem, Israel to George, Western Cape.
Bushakevitz studied at the University of Pretoria in South Africa, the Hochschule für Musik und Theater Felix Mendelssohn Bartholdy in Leipzig, Germany and the Conservatoire national supérieur de musique et de danse de Paris in Paris, France.
