Personal life

Stanios was born May 25, 1932 in Makow, Masovian Voivodeship, in east-central Poland; died December 25, 2007 in Radom.

Career

He began his career as a vicar in the parish of St. John, Radom. In 1965, Stanios applied for a chapel at Andrzej Strug Street and became the first pastor of the parish in that area. Working with residents in the community, he erected a shrine of Our Lady of Mercy.

Stanios was an initiator of the Youth Centre "Ark" (pl. Centrum Mlodziezowe "Arka") in Radom. On his 75th birthday, Stanios's parishioners published a book: "Sluga Milosiernej Matki - ks. Adam Stanios" in which he wrote about his life. He died at night on Christmas day (25 December 2007).

The street leading from the Mila Street towards the Church of Our Lady of Mercy in Radom was renamed after him.
