Anthony’s son, Sajitha Anuttara, portrays Pandukabhaya. The film also features Malini Fonseka, Ravindra Randeniya, Sriyantha Mendis, Sabeetha Perera and many other popular actors.

Plot

Aba (film) Aba National Film Corporation

Story based on the historical legend of King Pandukabhaya which is set in Sri Lanka more than 2,400 years ago.

Production

Filming took place in various secluded locations across Sri Lanka, making it the most costly Sinhalese film produced to date, with expenses exceeding 60 million Rupees (approximately $500,000). The construction of the royal palace set alone is reported to have cost about 6.5 million Rupees ($60,000).
