2015–16 Northern Counties East Football League

The 2015–16 Northern Counties East Football League season is the 34th in the history of the Northern Counties East Football League, a football competition in England.

For the first time, a series of Division 1 play-offs will decide a third promotion winner to the Premier Division.

Premier Division

The Premier Division consisted of 22 clubs.

The following 3 clubs left the Premier Division before the season -

  • Shaw Lane Aquaforce – promoted to Northern Premier League Division One South
  • Glasshoughton Welfare – relegated to Northern Counties East League Division One
  • Heanor Town – transferred to Midland Football League Premier Division
  • The following 4 clubs joined the Premier Division before the season -

  • Brigg Town – relegated from Northern Premier League Division One South
  • Clipstone – promoted from Northern Counties East League Division One
  • Pontefract Collieries – promoted from Northern Counties East League Division One
  • Rainworth Miners Welfare – relegated from Northern Premier League Division One South
  • From this league four teams – Cleethorpes Town, Handsworth Parramore, Tadcaster Albion and Worksop Town – applied for promotion to Step 4 for the 2016–17 season.
