The 2013–14 Sporting Clube da Praia season were in the island and top division of Cape Verdean football. They would be regional champions and qualified into the national championship. Their success would reach as high as the Semifinals where they lost to Académica from the island of Fogo west of Praia.

The club scored a total of 45 goals. Of which 36 was scored in the Santiago South League and 9 in the national championships, 7 in the regular season and 2 in the playoffs. Their total points was 44 for the island and 13 in the national championships.

Santiago Island League (South)

The 2013-14 season would start being ninth, the first match on November 16 lost to Travadores 0-1, second to last place. The next 8 matches were victorious, the greatest match was with Academica da Praia who won with 4 goals on December 1, 2013. Also their rankings slowly gained 5th when they challenged Tchadense, then 3rd for the next three weeks and finally first place after defeating Desportivo Praia on January 19. The match on February 1 was tied 2 apiece with CD Travadores, Sporting won the next two matches until Boavista tied the match with 1 each on February 21, the club went to have a three match winning streak until Desportivo clumbered Sporting 1-0 on March 22. The final match of the season had Sporting defeated Bairro 2-0 on March 30 and claimed their recent island title.

The club had a total of 36 goals of which 19 were scored at home and 17 were scored away. Up to week 10, around 70% of the goals were scored away, it was mostly scored away at week 12 and after week 16, more than half were away.

Santiago South/Praia Cup

Sporting Praia claimed their first and only cup during the season.

Cape Verdean National League

The club achieved entry into the national championships after winning the regional title of Santiago South. This is their recent appearance in the nationals and would succeed as high as the semis, their overall ranking was third with two goals scored in the playoffs.

The club participated in Group A and finished first with 13 points and 4 wins.

Their first match against Académica do Porto Novo ended in a scoreless draw on April 6. Sporting Praia went on for a four-game winning streak, they defeated Paulense on April 12, Sporting Brava on April 19, the first-timer Grémio Nhagar on April 26 and Mindelo's FC Derby on May 4.

Playoffs

As they were first in the group, the club headed on to the semis and faced with Académica of Fogo, a club from the west and dared to defeat them. All two semi-final matches ended in draws, the first with nil and the second with two, Sporting lost in the penalty kicks and ended their appearance in the 2014 national season.
