The Maltese First Division 2004–05 (known as BOV First Division 2004-05 for sponsorship reasons) started on 5 September 2004 and finished on 15 May 2005.Balzan and Hamrun were relegated from the Premier League.St.Georges and Gozo were promoted from Maltese Second Division with the latter(Gozo) having won a promotion playoff against Gzira to clinch promotion.Hamrun were champions and Mosta were runners-up.Both teams were promoted to the Maltese Premier League.Balzan having just got relegated from Premier League were once again relegated this time to the Maltese Second Division alongside Gozo.

  • Tarxien Rainbows and Rabat Ajax were relegated to the Maltese Second Division 2004-05.They were replaced by St. George's, champions of Maltese Second Division 2003-04 and Gozo FC,runners-up.
