It was the 19th edition of the Indian Wells Masters and was part of the Super 9 of the 1994 ATP Tour and of Tier II of the 1994 WTA Tour. They were held at the Grand Champions Resort in Indian Wells, California, in the United States, with the women's tournament played from February 21 through February 27, 1994, while the men's tournament was played from February 28 through March 7, 1994.
